ELAN2 Liquid Nitrogen Generators

The ELAN2™ Liquid Nitrogen Generators completely replace liquid nitrogen (LN2) delivery and storage. The Generator footprint is smaller than most storage dewars and eliminates the need for delivery access. LN2 is available for dispensing at the push of a button precisely when you need it.

Being the latest generation of award winning Liquid Nitrogen Generators offered by MMR, the ELAN2 boasts increased production rates, a smaller foot print, more quiet operation, and a digital microprocessor.

The ELAN2 offers a new user friendly interface; including self-management  and error checking to improve overall efficiency, uptime, and production rates. By minimizing user intervention, and with the provision of intelligent feedback and control, the ELAN2 will offer years of quiet, clean, on-hand Liquid Nitrogen produced directly in your office / lab.

There are two models of ELAN2 Liquid Nitrogen Generators available, allowing you to choose the model that best suits your needs (see below).

How the generator works

Nitrogen is extracted directly from the surrounding air, liquefied and stored in internal (Office Station model) or external (Autotransfer Station model) buffer reservoir. When the tank is full, the system goes into the standby mode, waiting until some liquid nitrogen is used. Every decrease of level of LN2, starts the liquefaction process to make up liquid nitrogen reserves.

The secret to the ELAN2’s reliability is a self-cleaning cooling cycle developed at MMR Technologies. It has been proven to work in demanding scientific research and development applications that have run continuously over the past 10 years or more.

Safety

There are multiple levels of safety built into each Liquid Nitrogen Generator system, making accidental spills or dispensing highly unlikely. This provides protection to your personnel and peace of mind. Instead of handling large volumes – you only take what you need.

Cleanness

Our cleaning cycle maintains high efficiency over time and is free of ozone depleting CFC’s. The LN2 produced is only handled a single time, by you. It does not have the opportunity to pick up contaminants and water that can occur with delivery.

The ELAN2 works to provide a continuous supply of LN2 (24/7) – you use what you need, when you need it. You no longer have to worry about waiting for an emergency delivery when you run out! You also do not waste LN2 to evaporation as it sits around in the large tanks waiting.
